Urban Voice, a website that offers a map-based visualisation of developments in the urban space, is now launching its very own mobile application in Cambodia.
Just like its website, the Urban Voice mobile app will allow anyone to contribute. It will bring people with different interests together as it acts as a source of information and a platform for civic engagement.
While a team maintains the website and handles campaigns, Urban Voice is fully dependent on Phnom Penh citizens to report irregularity in their city.
The launch event will take place at Emerald Hub on April 8, Friday, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm. It is aimed at encouraging the youth and the community to report on the app, and will feature a demonstration of the app. After the demonstration, there will be a Q&A followed by a discussion on technology, social development and reporting. Participants will get the chance to network towards the end of the party as well.
Attendance is free of charge. Register here.
