Calling all startups in Cambodia: are you currently attempting to build up your company via bootstrapping, where you use your own personal finances / operating revenues? However, do you need help in doing so, in order to make your startup operable and sustainable?
If you answered yes to both of these questions, then look no further; for SmallWorld will be hosting a Startup Survivor Conference on the 7th June from 8.30am to 12pm at the Zaman University.
Since 2011, SmallWorld, an open space and youth business centre, has been providing support for startups and young entrepreneurs in Phnom Penh. The organisation helps to create teams in their early phases, where they then test and hone their products / services with minimal capital involved.
Incorporating the word “survivor” into the conference name came as no mistake – for according to SmallWorld, most of the startups in our community are bootstrapping, but not many of them turn out to be successful.
Thus, the conference will feature some of the most successful startups in Phnom Penh, the “survivors”, as they share their journey and insights with attendees. Delve into the world of their ups and downs, their highs and lows, and how they managed to go through it all and still come out on top.
Inspired by the Apple Launch at the MacWorld, the invited guests will share their story and give demonstrations, or present products that can benefit a wide range of users. Several mentors will also be there to share their experiences with attendees, as well as provide them with insights on business model thinking.
Check out their event page here to RSVP; registration is not required, plus the event is free and open to all! Bring your friends and colleagues along to get inspired, and start on your dream goals while working towards success!
