Mekong ICT Camp 2013

Mekong ICT Camp is currently taking place until may 10th. This event happens once every two years in the Mekong subregion, hosted for this edition in Thailand.

The event consists in workshops, presentations and discussions, focused on tech, information and communication for civil society organizations and citizen media. People taking part in the event come from either tech or social backgrounds, with the common will to share and capitalize their respective knowledges.

Presentations are being processed by various speakers from heterogeneous backgrounds, and different topics and resources are highlighted during the event.

For example, for those familiar with social good issues, you might already know some resources such as Open street Map (resource addressed in some mekong ICT camp sessions this year), and you might also already some public figures such as Beth Kanter (who made a presentation by videoconference from the US today). Other speakers, such as Patipat Susumpow, technology director at Opendream, published their presentation online after the sessions. If you’re interested in the topics addressed during this event, you can already think about registering for the next session, and follow the updates through Twitter or the Facebook accounts.
