With a huge flag in Singapore’s startup scene since 2010, Echelon is an annual conference akin to the celebration of Asia’s brightest technology and digital makers, from startups to industry players. Speakers worthy of Silicon Valley’s power are invited from all across the world to share their experiences, and for the other days, the event will be a torrent of the year’s loudest additions within the scene.
The folks over at e27 handle the back end of Echelon, along with SingTel Innov8, under the Title Sponsor this year. Echelon 2014 will happen from 10 to 11 June 2014 at Singapore Expo Max Atria with over 60 international speakers, including this year’s Internet luminaries, Eren Bali, Co-Founder and Chairman at Udemy; and Dave McClure, Founding Partner of 500 Startups.
This year’s event will see the launch of two new home products: Echelon Connect and SpacePak. Echelon Connect will represent as the official business matchmaking app to connect conference delegates to a full conference and exhibition guide, and also set up meetings and make connections with relevant parties. SpacePak acts as the official Echelon 2014 goodie bag (full of industrial tidbits!); and it uses an online delivery mechanism to give delegates, free trials and exclusive discounts from the sponsors, exhibitors and partners.
“This is the fifth year that e27 is organizing Echelon, and every year it gets bigger and more vibrant. The true stars of Echelon are the people and organizations that support the event. Startups work tirelessly on innovating and building their businesses, and as organizers, we want to build a platform where they can meet the right people in Asia’s tech industry, who can help propel these disruptive ideas to the next level. We also see tremendous interest from companies, investors and corporates outside of Southeast Asia, who have identified the region’s viability as the next strategic growth market for their companies and investments. Through this, we aim to make Southeast Asia the center for innovation, technology and business,” said Mohan Belani, Co-founder and CEO of e27.
Other highlights of Echelon 2014 will include the Top 60 Startup Marketplace, where startups have been handpicked from a rigorous two-stage process from over 400 entries and 11 different Satellite countries; the Tech Alley for exhibitors, and the Top 10 Startup Launchpad, which will see 10 startups pitching onstage to a panel of seasoned investors.
Echelon 2014 will happen in Singapore at Singapore Expo Max Atria, from 10 to 11 June 2014. Tickets start from SGD$320, and can be bought here. A full agenda can be accessed here, along with the speakers’ profiles.
