With more young Cambodians getting involved in the world of entrepreneurship, Barcamps that have been sweeping across the nation over the past year have been relatively well received, with the number of attendees growing each time. This year’s Barcamp Battambang saw approximately 1000 attendees at its 1 and half day event, a significantly huge jump from the 600 who attended last year’s!

Don’t worry if you missed out on the previous barcamp that was held at Battambang in April last month, for Barcamp Takeo will take place on the 27th to 28th June this year! This one and a half day tech camp will be held at the Takeo Regional Teacher Training Centre in Takeo, Cambodia.

On the 30th May this year, the National Business Plan Competition (NBPC) grand finale was held at Cambodiana Hotel in Phnom Penh from 1.30pm to 6.30pm. Hosted by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports (MoEYS) with many international partners alongside, several senior Cambodian government officials were also there to oversee the event.
