13th June, Wednesday – A MOU between Impact Hub Phnom Penh and Grab was signed in collaboration to support the ever-growing startup ecosystem in Cambodia.

After a long and challenging 3-month journey, five teams taking part in the second cycle of the SmartStart: Young Innovator programme were selected to transform their tech ideas and business models into reality with the aid of US$4,000 and six months of incubator support from Impact Hub and Smart Axiata.
After a 3-month intensive innovation program, Solar Micro Grid were recently chosen as winners of the winners of Youth Eco Labs 2018 at the final pitching session at Impact Hub Phnom Penh, with Smart Bins coming in second. Both team’s impressive business ideas were rewarded with the opportunity to be guests on the U.S. Embassy’s Facebook Live “Let’s Chat” programme, and an eco-friendly gift basket.
After a 2-day hackathon event, 5-day technopreneurship camp, several shortlistings and pitching sessions, the time has finally come for the top 15 final teams to give their final pitches.
