Take a walk around your block and you will realise that almost everyone has their eyes automatically directed towards their mobile phones these days. Based in Singapore and India, Beacon-In recognises this fact and has modelled their startup to interact with users in a seamless fashion.
It is introduced as a mobile content platform for brands to interact with their users at the right time and at the right place. It works by sensing users using Bluetooth and sending them relevant alerts and/or checking them in for rewards. Participating stores will just have to set up the hardware “beacon”, which is personally designed to be accessible. Beacon-In will provide the hardware free of charge to every brand listed on the Beacon-In app. In addition, they will guide it’s subscribers with the initial setup at their business premises and provide add-on services to act as an all in one iBeacon solution provider.
It aims to be the first platform in Asia dedicated towards delivering the best iBeacon experience to users. Beacon-In is currently in beta and will soon be launched on the iTunes Store for iOS users and Google Play Store for Android users!
This is the brainchild of founder Aditya Haripurkar and partner Harsh Sharma:
A service like Beacon-In will certainly prove to be both useful and applicable in Cambodia where we are always on the lookout for great places… on our mobile phones! The interactive check-in function is often paired with a detailed map database, and this will provide fast information with simultaneous brand interaction. It does have a framework similar to Foursquare, but the beacon hardware gives Beacon-In its edge.
