Held over the course of two intensive days, Echelon Thailand is Asia’s premier technology and business conference that celebrates the start-up industry and its change makers. Organised to convene the Mekong region’s tech space, investors and influencers, the conference saw an attendance of 1,000 delegates, 67 exhibitors and 68 world-class speakers.
Bangkok’s International Trade & Exhibition Centre was a witness to the burgeoning technology startup community, which congregated in one place to discuss Asia’s emerging trends and to ascend to a higher value proposition. Not only that, the highly anticipated search for the region’s top start-ups ended when GIZTIX, an e-marketplace logistics service, won the grand prize during Startup Launchpad at Echelon Thailand.
GIZTIX is an e-marketplace for worldwide logistics services, including truck, freight and customs clearance. They aim to help shippers (who wants goods shipped) to get the best prices in seconds and to help transporters (who operate transportation services) to get more sales. The start-up brought home the grand prize of $120K worth of Azure Credits from Microsoft, and also received three year’s access to BizSpark and BizSpark Plus.
The prizes received will give GIZTIX access to software and tools like visual studios and an office, alongside training courses and a vibrant technology community. The team also received a pair of tickets to Echelon Asia Summit 2016, as well as an exhibition booth at the international conference next June.
e27, Echelon Thailand’s organizing team, will be bringing a global series of conferences next year, and most excitingly, the 2-month search for Asia’s next Most Promising Startup will begin in March. So keep a lookout on Geeks in Cambodia’s page to find out more!
