Do you see your mobile data depleting at a rapid pace every month? Wish you had more so you could watch endless YouTube videos on your phone? Well, perhaps it is a Christmas miracle, but now, you can get up to 50% more out of your existing data plan.
In mid-november, Opera launched their data compression app, Opera Max, in 16 new countries. Cambodia is one of them, aside from Laos, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and more. So how does it work?
Opera Max saves your data usage across all apps on your Android mobile devices by rerouting data traffic using a virtual private network (VPN). It directs the traffic to the Opera data-savings cloud, where all your data requests are compressed, thus helping you juice more out of your data plan.
Apart from this, you can take control of your data usage. On the Opera Max timeline, you can get an in-depth look at how much of your data each app is using, as well as track where your data quota is going. Realise that one app is being too greedy? Simply block it from using your mobile data, and allow it only to run when you are connected to Wi-Fi.

If you are running on Android Lollipop, you will be glad to hear that there already is an update by the app to work fluidly with this system.
