Congratulations to the first 49 graduates from the National Institutes of Posts, Telecoms and ICT (NIPTICT)!
The institute was founded in January 2014 under the supervision of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC) as part of the Kingdom’s digital development policy, and is expected to provide the necessary skills for Cambodian professionals to develop and grow the country’s tech landscape.
At the ceremony, H.E. Tram Iv Tek, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, congratulated the graduates and said that 99% of them are already employed after their internships, with remaining graduates expected to continue their studies abroad. He added that graduates are going to work in renowned companies like Smart Axiata, Metfone, Huawei, SEAtel, EZECOM, and other tech companies that are driving Cambodia’s digital revolution.
The minister thanked telecom operators such as Smart Axiata for their cooperation with NIPTICT in providing valuable expertise and opportunities to the nascent institute. He also expressed appreciation to the Embassies of France, Japan and India and the institute’s development partners for their contribution to the Kingdom’s socio-economic development.
Geeks in Cambodia wishes the graduates the best of luck in their future careers and studies, and we look forward to seeing how their energies and skills push innovation in Cambodia!
