Khmer Coders Convention 2017

The 1st of July is going to be a heck of day for our fellow coders. The Khmer Coders is holding a convention and just by reading the programme we are already excited about it.

Held at one of the most innovative places in Phnom Penh, Emerald Hub, the event will feature four extremely qualified speakers speaking on researched subjects. Here is the programme for the afternoon:

- “Customer Segmentation with Machine Learning” by Vitou Phy, software engineer at MLab Cambodia, a company building tools to embrace positive changes. He will demonstrate how machine learning algorithms can help to identify different types of customer.

- “B-Tree Index Optimization” by Soun Pisey, database administrator at Kosign, a company which operates three main business fields in Cambodia including e-Finance, B2B Fin-Tech Business and IT Outsourcing. Soun Pisey will share some tips to improve the performance of RDBMS (Relationship Database Management System).

- “Docker Production at Sabay Digital Cooperation” by Mike Gaertner, COO at Sabay Digital Cooperation, a digital entertainment provider. He will explain how Sabay Digital Corp uses Docker to solve some of their challenging problems.

- “Process of Making Robot” by Heng Kimchheang, IOS developer at Beninten, a company handling website designs, development and maintenance. This speech will describe a step by step guide on how to get started in building robot. Heng Kimchheang will also explain challenges that he has faced while learning how to make one.

As you can see, topics and speakers are extensive and will showcase the interest of programming for businesses as well as for more technical subjects.
