Wendgo – Cambodia’s First Smart POS & WiFi Marketing Startup

Hoping to help retail and F&B businesses improve their customer engagement and business processes, Wendgo helps to provide cloud Point-Of-Sale and Wifi marketing solutions.

Through an intuitive user-interface that helps to provide business information and analytics in real time along with multi-store key performance indicators, store managers and business owners have been able to boost staff efficiency thanks to Wendgo’s Cloud POS.

As for Wendgo’s Wifi marketing solutions, they help each store to capture customer data and record the purchasing behavior of each customer so that businesses can tailor their digital and online presence to suit the customers’ needs.

These were just some of the benefits highlighted by Rodolphe Richard, the founder and CEO of Wendgo.

Currently operating out of the Incubateur Confluences space on BKK1, the startup’s software is already used by over 3000 sites worldwide. Within the company’s first few weeks of going commercial, the platform has already achieved more than 20 percent of their annual target of signing 100 clients.

For Confluences, Wendgo has special significance for them as it is the very first startup they have launched through their incubator programme. While launching startups in the Kingdom was not part of the company’s initial plans when they arrived, Soreasmey says that the plan presented by Rodolphe with regards to Wendgo highlighted a “number of promising leads” and convinced Confluences to jump on the opportunity.

Always on the look out for startups with the potential to impact the Kingdom and beyond, this programme by Confluences is dedicated to nurturing foreign startups and SMEs to help them leave an indelible mark on the local market. In the future, their hope is to be able to bring top quality Cambodian services and products into overseas markets.

At this point in time, the programme is home to six other startups with one of them approaching the incorporation stage in the next few weeks. Additionally, two other startups are also embarking on a fund raising phase within the first few months of the year.

Ms. Theary Hé, incubator co-ordinator, said that the target for the programme was to “launch at least two startups per year” which they view as being “ambitious but (it’s) possible”.
