The orientation workshop for this year’s run of Technovation Cambodia will be taking place at Development Innovations this Sunday (Jan 8), from 8am-11:30am.
Each year, the Technovation programme seeks to train the next generation of female entrepreneurs through an extensive 12 week mentorship programme. Every week, participants will go through various workshops that will help them develop their idea.
These workshops will cover a plethora of topics ranging from market research to brand development, app prototyping, business model development, pitching skills and more.
So if you’re a female entrepreneur aged between 10-18, and looking to take the next step in developing your idea, this is the programme for you! For us at Geeks in Cambodia, we’re really excited to see yet another batch of aspiring, ambitious female entrepreneurs go through the workshops.
To be eligible for the programme, you’ll simply have to commit to spending at least 4 to 5 hours a week on the project for a four month period, starting on January 8th and ending on April 9th.
The course is also supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS Cambodia). Through MoEYS, Technovation Cambodia will also recruit and engage more participants for this programme through public schools in an effort to give female students the opportunity to participate and learn from this entrepreneurship competition.
At the end of the competition, each team will present their ideas at a national pitch, with the top global finalist teams being invited to present at the World Pitch Summit in San Francisco, California in July this year.
This Technovation programme is part of the global Technovation movement that aims to increase the number of girls in the technology and entrepreneurship fields. Cambodia is simply one of the countries taking part in the movement, with Technovation events also taking place in countries such as Egypt, Brazil and the United States.
