The 7th edition of Tech In Asia Singapore linked thousands of experts, international speakers, startups and investors with Asia’s vibrant tech ecosystem.

The hot topic this year was blockchain technology, with lots of excitement about how blockchain can revolutionise business, product design and redefine world economies.

Startup Factory, an exhibition where startups showcased their products and services had five top verticals featured this year – Software as a Service (SaaS), E-commerce, Fintech, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ed-tech. With 185 startups exhibiting at a criterion of US$3 million funding cap, the steady growth of Startup Factory is emblematic of the maturing startup community as a whole.

The Startup-Investor Speed Dating segment was revamped for 2018, with the meeting curated and matched based on each startups’ compatibility with the investor’s criteria, which resulted in smoother and more efficient interactions with potential investors.

The 2-day event held at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore saw not only an increase in public attendance, but also 31% startups (60% of which were overseas startups), and 7% investors (which had more than $10 billion in investment capital).
