With a total of 453 current retail outlets globally, it is very highly likely Apple is planning to gain a stronger presence by building dedicated stores near luxury brands and high-end shopping malls to cater to their respective customers and fans as well as to retain their premium brand image, for example for their higher-end Apple Watch Edition collection.
Furthermore, Apple have also secured their global foothold on the retail sector by acquiring the assistance of a former CEO of a well-known luxury brand, Burberry group to give valuable consumer and retail insights and help coordinate and strategize their Apple Watch launch.
In addition, Apple will also be introducing a unique In-Store try-on session as part of their campaign to promote the Apple Watch.
