On 29 and 30 March 2017, IoT Asia will once again be hosted in Singapore for its fourth edition!
Started three years ago with its first edition in 2014, the conference prides itself on being the first dedicated platform in Asia to address the potential of the IoT revolution.
For the past three years, the conference has been seen as a transformation platform for addressing challenges and identifying advancement opportunities within the IoT landscape.
This year, the conference expects to host 4,500 attendees along with 110 sponsors and exhibitors across 5,000 square metres of exhibition space. The new and improved conference programme will also include three new tracks – Technologies, Solutions and, Organisations, along with engaging panel discussions and country-focused sessions.
The conference will also focus on 8 main areas in the IoT spectrum. Regular conference goers will be familiar with the areas of Smart Cities, IoT Data Analytics, Design Applications, Wearables, Enablers and Industrial IoT. Two new areas will be introduced at this year’s event as well – Cybersecurity and, Robotics.
These two areas of Cybersecurity and Robotics are also featured as two new thematic zones in the exhibition area. Additionally, the Institution Zone, where delegates can engage with professionals or students in Academia who will be showcasing IoT-related solutions and projects, is back by popular demand.
If you’re interested in startups, then you can look forward to the Start-Up Exchange zone of the exhibition area where aspiring startups will showcase their new lab-to-market IoT solutions and technologies. Each of these exhibitors have one goal in mind – to build a product that can disrupt the IoT market.
All in all, 2017 looks set to be yet another blockbuster year for the IoT Asia conference as it looks to build on its 2016 edition. In 2016, the event experienced a 75 percent increase in attendance as compared to 2015 and was awarded the prestigious UFI Marketing Award in the same year.
This award adds on to the numerous accolades that IoT has received including the “People’s Choice Silver Award for Event of the Year in Postscapes 2015/2016 IoT Awards” and “Trade Conference Organiser of the Year” for IoT Asia 2014 at Singapore Experience Awards 2015”.
If you’re someone involved in tech, this conference is definitely one for you! From wearable technology like smart watches to robotics and smart cities, the conference will keep you up to date with the latest IoT trends which we cannot ignore as we move into a technologically powered society.
