Take a short walk around your local eatery and you will notice the common flash of sleek modern devices gleaming from hands, tabletops and beside ears. In the wave of gadgets that have taken over us, how do we once again stand out with our individual iPhones? We Wear Wood is a specialised concept that will allow you to pop out from the crowd with a cross of low-tech beauty and high-tech power in wooden covers.
Believing that wood has always been used as an ageless, noble, natural material for crafting man’s most prized possessions, We Wear Wood is the brainchild of Salt Lake City’s Jaron Hall. His mantra is that tech is new and wood is timeless, and bringing both together will protect gadgets, satisfy the craved creativeness, and match personalities.
There are three types of wood are available, namely Bamboo, Maple Wood and Rose Wood. Users can pick between the plain or engraved cases, but Rose Wood will only be available clean as the colour is too dark for any engravings. Other than iPhone cases, We Wear Wood also aims to cover iPads and Macbooks. We look forward to more additions such as customisable patterns and other wooden products soon!
The project is currently on Kickstarter starting from $25, and a set of covers for three gadgets will later on retail for $40 when fully funded. Standing out in a sea of modernity with ageless covers? Count us in! Find out more from their introduction video below:
