If you have an interest for the tech scene in Cambodia, there is no doubt you already know Development Innovations, a project funded by USAID, aiming at growing a community of innovators « who take ideas, and with the use of technology, create solutions that make Cambodia a better place ». Development Innovations caters for both public and private sectors, with the idea of gathering a community of actors « that have the vision and capacity to realize the potential of technology to support Cambodia’s development goals ».
In this regard, a special exhibition will be held at Development Innovations on September 8, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM : Innovations in Development Technology Expo.
This event will be an opportunity to showcase local initiatives in technology and innovations, such as practical technologies developed or adapted to help solving issues encountered by Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). Technology Service Providers (TSPs), and anyone else involved in the Tech sector in Cambodia is also welcome to attend.
This expo will also act as a meet-up for all Tech communities and labs actively involved in Cambodia, among which will be : Wikipedia, BarCamp, Mekhek, Google, The Workshop, in Compass, Small World, INSTEDD, Hackerspace, Co Lab Arc Hub, STT Hub, Sithi Hub and more ! Geeks in Cambodia will of course be there to cover the event and enjoy the company of all these Tech enthusiasts !
