Financial Model for Early-stage Startups in Cambodia

A monthly series organised by Impact Hub, Breakfast with the Expert answers your questions and provides guidance on different topics.

This month’s Breakfast with the Expert will be held on April 7, from 8.30am to 11.30am. It will teach you the basics of financial modelling for startups in their early stages. Through understanding the foundation of financial modelling, participants will be better equipped for finding the right business model for their project.

Due to a restrictive amount of resources and limited staffing, companies and big organisations today are more attentive to short-term, immediate needs as compared to long-term sustainability. As a result, developing the right business plan can be challenging.

However, it is crucial that entrepreneurs find a balance between the two through creating the right business model. Entrepreneurs looking to upscale the impact of their work would benefit from understanding how to use financial modelling and applying creative approaches to market-based funding.

Be enlightened by the expert, Nikhil Agarwal, an analyst from Insitor Management, Phnom Penh. Prior to working at Insitor Management, Nikhil had a stint with KPMG in India, where he specialized in financial due diligence as a consultant in the Transactions and Restructuring team.
