Development Innovations is organizing an event tomorrow, that will focus on the use of mobile technologies to help young Cambodians to read and write Khmer.
Mr Run Ul, from World Education will talk about the Smart4Kids Khmer mobile app.
Smart4Kids’ goal is to allow Cambodian children to practice and learn through reading games and playful activities, even while their parents are busy working.
Literacy coaches, teachers, and parents can track students’ progress, as the application provides a summary of skills acquired.
It is a great example of how technology can make a difference in a national education program, for example.
With eight years of experience in program management and technical coordination to over 40 technical staffs under World Education, Mr Run Ul will share his experiences in developing this app, and will also share information about the Total Reading Approach for Children (TRAC) project that the literacy app is a part of.
The event will take place tomorrow Thursday February 13th from 3:30pm to 5:00pm, at Himawari Hotel in Phnom Penh.
