Endless Opportunities at Tech in Asia Singapore 2017

Imagine two full days of inspiring keynotes, innovative talks, educational breakouts and endless networking opportunities.

Now imagine yourself in that event with the best tech founders around the world, picking up tech trends and tips on growth, marketing, revenue, products… the list goes on.

If your interest is piqued and wondering where you can find such an event, then you can be rest assured that your (short) search is over because Tech in Asia (TIA) tri-annual conferences are back with all that and more.

2-day conferences held in Singapore, Tokyo and Jakarta, it is Tech in Asia’s signature to bring in entrepreneurs, investors, media, corporations, developers, students, and various other representatives from the wider tech community to these conferences, presenting all participants a wealth of networking and learning opportunities.

Kick starting this year’s conferences is Tech in Asia Singapore that will be held at Suntec City Convention Centre from 17th May to 18th May.

Besides networking, attending this conference also allow participants to keep updated with the latest industry trends and insights via the Main Stage, where industry heavyweights and major players take centre stage to share their experiences and discuss cutting edge trends.

The Main Stage presents the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the inspiring startup journeys as well as receive insights from their expert take on what’s coming up next in Asia’s tech scene.

Confirmed speakers for Singapore’s conference include Euivin Park, the CTO of LINE Corporation, Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit Initialized Capital, Quek Siu Rui, CEO of Carousell and various other esteemed players in the tech industry.

For those keener on exploring specific fields, TIA also has four Expert Stages where industry experts are invited to zoom into specifics. For TIA Singapore 2017, the four stages include:

  1. Developer & Product Stage
  2. Startup 101 Stage
  3. Marketing Stage
  4. Revenue Stage

And the lineup of speakers this year, as any other Tech in Asia conferences, never disappoint with big names such as Dietrich Ayala, Technical Evangelist at Mozilla and Arnaud Bonzom, the Director of Coroporate Innovation at 500 Startups, to name a few.

Adding on to the impressive Stages are other conference segments such as the Bootstrap Alley, an exhibition space that brings the region’s most promising and dynamic startups to showcase their products and expose their brands.

Startups that are showcased in this space have the rare opportunity of catching investors’ attention, as well as receive constructive feedback from peers and leaders in the community. Startup details would also be sent directly to attending investors, which amps up the chances of getting noticed and winning over new funds!

To earn a spot at this exclusive alley, all applicants have to go through a curation process where only innovative, product-ready startups with demonstrated traction are accepted. To even land a place in this alley is already a validation of the potential of a startup.

Another sought-after unique segment in TIA’s conferences is ‘Speed Dating’. Just as its name suggests, like a traditional speed-dating event, participants have the valuable opportunity of finding a significant other – except not romantically, but financially.

With over 60 investors scheduled to meet startups at the Speed Dating pavillions, startups can make their pitch and if all goes well, tie the knot and create a long-lasting relationship with participating investors.

And remember how we mentioned endless networking opportunities in the beginning? Well, aside from the mentioned activities that are already laced with networking opportunities, TIA Singapore also has 5 roundtables sessions which offer an avenue for attendees to gather in a cosy and intimate setting, around 25 to 30 pax, to facilitate discussions on various topics like legal, management and community.

A ‘Night Crawl’ is also held post-conference as a networking party for attendees to continue conversations in an informal setting over pints of beer.
