Connecting Tech Entrepreneurs in Cambodia

Development Innovations and USAID Cambodia will be holding individual meet-up sessions with interesting tech monikers to continue the spirit of Startup Weekend and their Global Leaders learning series.

The upcoming weeks will present Mr. Yeng Sok, a Cambodian tech entrepreneur who has more than 7 years of experience in IT management and support in Cambodia; and Tom Rausch, an American tech-for-good expert with experience spanning five continents and co-founder of Good World Solutions

With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems and an EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker, Mr. Sok has certainly made a presence in the industry with his achievements — which includes operating a successful IT support company and providing a wide range of services including IT consultancy, management and support for local and international clients.

Good World Solutions is a social enterprise using simple scalable technologies that improve supply-chains transparency globally. Rausch has helped Labor Link successfully scale from 100 workers to 75,000+ workers in 10 countries. Holding degrees from the London School of Economics (UK) and University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA), he has also dipped into the creation of a SMS platform that delivers market, finance, and information services to smallholder farmers, micro-finance banks and agricultural buyers in Kenya.

Startup TBC with Mr. Yeng Sok will take place on Wednesday, 9th April 2014, 5:30pm to 7pm in the evening. Global Leaders with Tom Rausch will take place on Thursday, 1st May 2014, 8:30am to 10am in the morning. Both events are free and will happen at the Development Innovations Office.
