Like many of the other Sompom mobile games released by Sompom, Shapu the Brain Taker is another compelling app with eye-catching graphics and addictive gameplay.
Sompom, the Cambodian game developer studio that released entertaining mobile games like BrainSquare, 1Word and Boru the Running Ninja, has upped Shapu the Brain Taker’s fun by crafting over 230 intriguing levels.
The objective of Shapu the Brain Taker is to get all the coloured balls into their respective homes. To reach 100% for a level, all white balls have to disappear. When a row or column is shifted, all white and coloured balls will move together. However, every move ensures that one ball is eliminated. What makes Shapu the Brain Taker challenging is that the coloured balls have to return to their homes in a specific order. Players are allowed to play at their own pace without a time limit. Shapu the Brain Taker is free to play and offers a tough yet calming experience.
The game, which was developed with Unity, gave the Sompom team a glimpse into what it is like working with Unity. Bora, a member from the local team, said: “It was my first game in Unity, and integrating all that we usually do in native was interesting.” Ratana, another member from the local team, added: “I think Unity is a great engine for mobile games and there are a lot of things to learn.”
