Cambodia to host a major tech festival in November

Cambodian Association of Finance and Technology (CAFT) with support from the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) and Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) as well as Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) will host the CamTech Summit on November 8-12, 2021.

The 5-day event will be held in parallel with the World Fintech Festival with Cambodia being one of its partner cities.

World FinTech Festival is an offshoot of the Singapore FinTech Festival, in which Cambodia successfully participated last year. The weeklong fully digital event that was broadcasted to 40 countries that featured local and international speakers from prominent fintech industries all over the world.

This November, CAFT is organizing the CamTech Summit to bring together multiple industries with overarching fintech, finance and tech theme and exploring how can they work together.

“Camtech Summit is to be a gamechanger. But we cannot do it alone. This event is to be culmination of our efforts for partnerships growth despite the pandemic we are facing now. To showcase we, as an industry, can come together regardless the circumstances and make an impact,” said secretary-general of CAFT Tomas Pokorny.

The tech festival will be a 5-day hybrid event (offline and online) that showcases Cambodia’s Finance and Tech industry, held in Phnom Penh and other Cambodian cities.

First day will feature a showcase of tourism and tech in Siem Reap, second day real estate and tech in Sihanoukville and third day agriculture, tech and trade in Battambang. Day four and five will continue in Phnom Penh, a partner city to World Fintech Festival 2021, with live sessions broadcasted in more than 40 countries including Singapore.
