EmTech is a conference hosted by MIT’s Technology Review magazine, defined as “the world’s most respected technology publication founded in 1899″. This annual event focuses on global emerging technologies, and was brought to Singapore for the very first time in January 2014.
Renown for the inspiration that it brings, EmTech is “where technology, business, and culture converge. It’s the showcase for emerging technologies with the greatest potential to change our lives. It’s an access point to the most innovative people and companies in the world”.
About the awards :
MIT Technology Review has highlighted the top young innovators since 1999, including inspiring figures such as Mark Zuckerberg.
This year, we were eager to share this information as young innovators from Cambodia are eligible to the awards.
Nominees must be 35 or under as of October 1, 2014. They must be citizens of (or work in) one of the following countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Australia or New Zealand.
The 10 selected TR35 Singapore finalists will be celebrated at EmTech Singapore on January 20-21, 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. They will also become candidates and potential finalists for the global TR35 list celebrated in the fall of 2014 in Boston. So this is a great opportunity for Cambodia-based innovators to grab some attention to the Cambodian innovation scene !
