If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should definitely attend the Open Cyber Talk that will be held at the Tonle Bassac II restaurant next Sunday (August 16th) from 7.30am to 12pm.
Hosted by the Cambodian Youth Network, the event aims to provide young Internet users with more opportunities in gaining better awareness of the different rights of being online and educate them on the dangers of cybercrime.
At the same time, the Open Cyber Talk is a platform for ICT experts and specialists in the Kingdom to come together and share with social network users their knowledge on the importance of using ICT correctly and the different challenges faced. Attendees will also be able to engage in discussions and sharing session freely.
Since January 2014, the number of active Internet users in Cambodia has risen by a whooping 414%. There are now over 2.8 million active social media users here. Thus, as the Internet age sweeps over the Kingdom, it is important to educate users on the different rights online.
Several topics will be tackled at the Open Cyber Talk event. These include the rights in using Internet, cybercrime and online safety, online press and hot news, and last but not least, the giant social network.
