Accelerate 2030: Creating Positive Impact By Accelerating Ventures Seeking To Make A Change

Calling all growth-stage ventures with proven solutions, here is your chance to scale your positive impacts internationally!

Accelerate 2030 is a 9-month programme co-initiated by Impact Hub Geneva and the UNDP, with the great mission to scale the impact of ventures that contribute towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on an international level.

The name of their programme is a showcase of their commitment to achieving SDGs by 2030, which is also the reason why this programme went for an international reach – to leverage the potential of entrepreneurs around the world who have the power to play a pivotal role in their global agenda.

With a belief in creating a sustainable future for all, this programme specifically targets ventures that implement innovative solutions towards social, economic, and environmental needs. The best 10 high-potential ventures are selected from 17 countries, across 4 continents, to be immersed in a 9-month acceleration programme.

In this unique accelerator, ventures are prepped to become more investment-ready through a programme that is built specifically their needs. Additionally, you will also get access to the Impact Hub global network of 80+ collaborative spaces with over 15,000 social innovators that will support you globally, as well as receive complementary membership to your local participating Impact Hub.

Support will also be dished out on a diverse range of topics from business models for scaling, intellectual property, global supply chain management, to international standards and certifications, international marketing, impact measurement. These are provided by Accelerate 2030’s deep pool of partners including BCG, Dalberg, UNDP, ITC, Codethic, WIPO, Sidley, Endeva and others!

This mentorship and support system happens after international teams are selected as finalists from a National Pitching Event in late June. Then on July 17th, the 2017 finalists will be announced and enter the Diagnostics phase.

In this phase, the Accelerate2030 team, along with their partners, will be in close contact with the venture to analyse them and compile a Scaling Support Plan catered specially to their needs.

In October, the finalists will then move onto a Scaling Bootcamp in Switzerland, where they will be connected to a network of UN organisations, consultants, investors, and corporations from around the world. One-to-one meetings will also be organised based on finalists’ specific needs to explore the best way to support their scaling efforts. This bootcamp will cumulate to the Social Good Summit in Geneva, an invite-only event where ventures will have the opportunity to pitch and network with hand-picked global leaders working on SDGs.

This programme also takes into consideration that to scale, a solid financial backing is required. As such, they will also help in raising funds by connecting your venture to a vibrant community of impact investors and sustainable finance institutions to match make you with the appropriate one.

After the summit, teams will then be immersed in their tailored support programme planned out in the Diagnostics phase.

Throughout the 9-month course of Accelerate 2030, media exposure will also be given to help increase your local and global visibility.

Undoubtedly, Accelerate 2030 is a well-rounded programme that would help elevate your growth-stage ventures to limitless heights, so if you think you’ve got what it takes, do not miss out on this golden opportunity!
